We believe in a fully sustainable ecosystem. We place the utmost importance in protecting our tea garden`s natural environment and caring for the community of workers, their families and our neighbours.
We look after the environment and our community through a number of initiatives.
Medical Facility
Gardens have two hospital each having 6 beds for primary treatment. There is a full time doctor to meet any emergency.
School/Children
Garden run a small school for the children from nursery to class five level. The company support the expenses for the teachers and the educational equipments. Company also arrange, support and encourage sports and cultural activity.
Health
Garden Management regularly works on society’s awareness training. The company also regularly work to develop & improve community. The set back of women maternal and child mortality rate of community members have improve since. There has been marked improvement on various sanitation issues.
Preserving Environment
There is little scope for innovation when it comes to tea estates. We give importance to the environment, which plays a vital role for our tea plantation. For this we undertake extensive a forestation programme to preserve biodiversity.
Community
Social Projects
BLL Tea estate, we believe that caring for our social environment is as important as looking after our natural environment.
Through our extensive social projects, we support our workers and reach out to our neighbors.
Our projects are designed to meet both the immediate and future needs of the community, raising the living standards while providing higher job skills training. Additionally, we seek to raise awareness of organic farming among farmers, sellers, and consumers.
Only by taking care of our neighbors, can we take care of our garden.
